I am a first-year CS PhD student, at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), in the Dept. of Computer Science (CS). My advisor is Dr. Charith Mendis.
I'm doing research in the intersection of compilers and software architecture. More specifically, I am exposing the internals of compilers to whoever's interested; most notably, hardcore programmers, PL implementers and machine-learning tools. My interests extend to performance-critical software engineering, programming languages and computer architecture.
Before coming to UIUC, I worked as a compiler researcher at NEC and I was also involved with the Liberty Research Group from Princeton. I obtained my B.Sc. from the Department of Informatics, University of Athens, where I did my thesis with Dr. Yannis Smaragdakis.
